                                         UNHEALTHY   HABİTS


How many people are aware of having unhealthy habits? No one knows it until their body makes them suffer and no one knows how to quit them and how much they have to suffer from the harm of those habits. As the time goes by, the unhealthy habits cause our lives to get limited and we just ignore it. There are a lot of reasons to quit the unhealthy habits like smoking, overeating, drinking, and sleeping too much.
Firstly, there are a lot of reasons not to smoke. Smoking physically causes lung cancer, vascular occlusion, emphysema, cataract, heart disease, and bronchitis. A cigarette contains a lot of harmful chemicals which dramatically damage people’s health. Smoking causes the death of brain cells, which leads people to inefficiency in learning, mental impairment and early dementia. Smoking affects the smell of people’s breath, clothes, and hair. People may not be aware of how they smell, but people around them realize this disgusting odor. When people consider those points, they become more aware and find a way to quit smoking.
Secondly, there are a lot of reasons not to overeat. Overeating causes people to obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. Especially overeating fast-food is dangerous for people’s health.  People who overeat start to hate themselves, become regretful for eating and feel stressed. When people become fat, it becomes difficult for them to find suitable clothes. Even if they do not want to eat, they cannot control themselves. When people consider those points, they become more aware and find a way to quit overeating.
Finally, there are a lot of reasons not to oversleep. Oversleeping causes people to diabetes, headaches, depression, heart disease, hormonal imbalance, and obesity. The amount of sleep depends on the age, but people are supposed to sleep 8 hours per day. People who oversleep generally feel depressed because they feel lethargic and regretful after waking up. They want to sleep more although they are totally wide awake. It is not under their control. When people consider those points, they become more aware and find a way to quit oversleeping.

To sum up, we have uncountable unhealthy habits. These are the most well known habits over the world. To me, the first thing people must do is to know their habits and the second thing is to separate which one is harmful to their health. Then they had better get support to overcome our unhealthy habits.
